The newsroom learns to follow a story over time

A developing story rarely fits inside one news cycle. Aholics can now recognize when separate groups of reporting belong to the same continuing subject, while still requiring a person to approve those relationships before they become part of the newsroom’s memory.

Changelog

• Added durable News Topics so the newsroom can recognize when Topic Groups from separate news cycles concern the same developing subject.
• Accepted the first complete reviewed result: all 46 Topic Groups were assigned exactly once across 39 News Topics, with human approval required before those relationships became canonical.
• Added safe repeat handling and complete audit records while keeping editorial decisions, article creation, deployment, and production outside this release.
