Update
The newsroom gets better at deciding what is worth covering
Finding stories is not enough; the newsroom also needs a disciplined way to decide what might deserve attention. It can now score potential articles as reporting develops and focus each source check on what is genuinely new, while leaving the actual editorial decision with a person.
Changelog
- Added a simple live score for every potential News Article based on its Topic Groups, Facts, Source Articles, and Source Publishers.
- Scores stay current as accepted reporting is added and avoid double-counting shared material.
- Added a consistently sorted newsroom report while keeping publication decisions under human editorial control.
- Improved source discovery so each check focuses on articles published since that source's last successful cycle.
- Added duplicate protection and a ten-article limit per source check, avoiding repeat downloads of articles already processed.
- Paused rolling pages that cannot yet provide reliable article-level identity while preserving their historical newsroom evidence.
