The first attempt to bring regular-video loading closer to Apple’s own path exposed pauses and corrupted frames, so I corrected it before moving on. Returning to a slideshow is also less wasteful now: if the session is still alive, the app resumes it instead of rebuilding the entire library.

Changelog

  • Updated regular-video loading to align more closely with Apple's Photos playback pipeline.
  • Restored reliable regular-video playback after the previous update introduced pauses and corrupted frames.
  • Returning to a still-running slideshow now restores playback intelligently instead of recalculating the full library every time.
  • When a slideshow session ends, Settings opens automatically instead of leaving a blank screen.
