What it is
FondFrame turns an iCloud Photos library into a calm, cinematic slideshow for the living room. It will show photos, videos, slow-mo, and even Live Photos! You can filter by a timeframe, you can display chronologically or randomly, you can choose different durations for photos and videos, you can choose videos to play from a random location, and so much more. It's easy to configure, and it just works. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't allow anyone else to build screensavers so you have to manually fire it up. But I do every - single - day.
This one is ready for production, I just need to go through the process of getting it on the Apple TV app store.
Why it exists
I have hacked together countless solutions so that I can see my photos on display throughout the house. I have a Mini-PC running Windows that runs a paid-for screensaver product (clunky, PITA). I've tried a thousand other products and hacks, but none of them stand out. Apple's Photo slideshow is wholly inadequate. So, the tech finally got to the point where I could build it myself!
